Softening of the cornea

To remove corneas quickly and easily, it is helpful to soften them sufficiently in advance. To break up the structure of the cornea and make it brittle, it is helpful to take a long and caring footbath. By adding care substances such as aloe vera or apple vinegar, the dead and hardened skin cells are loosened and softened.

The use of chamomile packs also achieves good results. Three to four tablespoons of chamomile oil are put on a linen cloth and then boiling water is poured over it. Then place the cloth on the area of skin affected by calluses and allow it to take effect.

After about 10 minutes the skin is softened and can be easily removed with the help of a pumice stone or a rasp. Another method to soften calluses is the use of Aspirin®. Simply crush 3 to 4 Aspirin® tablets and mix with a teaspoon of lemon juice and water to form a paste.

Then apply to the skin and wrap it with a warm towel. After a reaction time of 10 – 15 minutes, the skin can then be removed. A warm bath with the addition of baking powder will also soften the calluses. Due to its high pH-value, the baking powder can easily break through the skin barrier and dissolve it.
