Summary
Overall, vertebral blockages in the thoracic spine can be a very tiresome affair for those affected. In particular, if accompanying symptoms such as shortness of breath are added to the usual pain symptoms, this can be very threatening for the patient. The movement restrictions associated with the blockage can be very stressful in everyday life and often lead to poor posture.
Since blockages in BWS often resolve spontaneously, no special therapy is often necessary. It is important, however, that patients remain active despite the blockage and do not spare themselves. If the blockage requires treatment, there are several good therapeutic approaches that provide quick relief to patients. However, they should never simply live with the symptoms or ignore them, but always consult a specialist if the symptoms persist for a longer period of time in order to prevent a chronification of the symptoms.
