Summary
A muscular imbalance in the sense of shortening, weakening, tension is well known to everyone. If you intervene early, filter out the cause and train against the dysbalance until the body is back in balance, there need not be any long-term consequences such as poor posture, functional limitations and clinical pictures due to one-sided overloading and wear and tear. Whether with the baby, the competitive athlete, the hobby tennis player, the stressed office worker or the grandfather in the old people’s home, getting active, breaking out of patterns, balanced movement and even training are magic words to successfully treat a muscular imbalance or even prevent it from occurring.
