Dental cements can be used not only for fixing a crown, but also for filling teeth. This temporary filling is paid for by the health insurance company, but due to its lower stability it has to be renewed regularly, so longer use is not recommended. Alternatives are composite fillings or inlays made of ceramic or metal.
