Urological Complete Preventive Care for Women

Complete urologic screening includes a bundle of individual examinations designed to detect cancer early in women.

The procedures

The examinations include various ultrasound examinations such as ultrasound of the kidneys (renal ultrasonography) and urinary bladder. These are the organs that can be affected by cancer in the urological area.

A comprehensive urine examination, for example, can detect blood, which is not necessarily visible in the urine, as an important indication of bladder, ureter, or kidney cancer.

Other examinations – such as the i.v. pyelogram (urography; X-ray contrast imaging of the kidneys, ureters and urinary bladder) or the NMP22 bladder cancer test – can be performed as part of the complete urological screening examination and can be useful in ruling out cancer.
