Vividrin acute eye drops

Introduction

Vividrin® Eye Drops is a drug used for the treatment of allergic eye conditions. The drug is most commonly used due to hay fever associated with conjunctivitis. Vividrin® Eye Drops should be taken regularly after fixed times to prevent the development of symptoms.

They are less suitable for relieving symptoms that have already started. Compared to some other allergy medicines, the active ingredient is generally well tolerated and only extremely rarely leads to side effects. For non-allergic conditions such as inflammatory conjunctivitis, Vividrin® eye drops have no effect and should not be used.

Indications for Vividrin acute eye drops

The indications for Vividrin® eye drops are allergy-related acute and chronic conjunctivitis. The drug is most commonly used to treat eye symptoms of hay fever or spring conjunctivitis. Vividrin® Eye Drops should be taken regularly as a preventive measure and not only when symptoms already occur.

Symptoms such as inflamed, watery eyes, itching, swelling of the eyelids and increased sensitivity to light are possible indications, provided they are allergic. Beside the seasonal allergy forms already mentioned the medicine can be used also with allergies, which can occur in the whole year in appearance, like for example house dust, mold fungus or animal hair allergies. Vividrin® eye drops are not indicated for acute, severe symptoms of allergy.

Hay fever is probably the most common use of Vividrin® Eye Drops. In this allergy-related disease, symptoms of hay fever occur in the eyes and nose when the responsible pollen is dispersed through the air. Therefore, symptoms of hay fever are typically limited to a few months of the year (usually in spring).

Vividrin® Eye Drops, when used regularly, can prevent or at least reduce the allergy symptoms of hay fever in the eyes. The drug can usually be used throughout the pollen season. In very severe forms, however, such treatment is usually not sufficient and other drugs in the form of tablets must be used to control the symptoms.

Red eye is a symptom that can have several different causes. Among other things, it can be due to an allergic reaction to grasses, pollen or house dust. If the cause of red eyes is allergic, treatment with Vividrin® eye drops may be used.

However, these are primarily suitable for the prevention of symptoms of a known allergy, for example, when the allergy-causing plants begin to flower. Other typical symptoms of allergy-induced red eyes are sneezing attacks, runny nose and itching of the eyes. In addition, an allergy often exists from childhood on, but sometimes it can only appear in adulthood.

Should the symptom red eyes occur, it is therefore recommended to consult a doctor. It may be an infectious conjunctivitis, which must be treated differently than with Vividrin® Eye Drops Eye Drops. Also in cases of acute allergic eye complaints, other medication than Vividrin® Eye Drops should be used first.
