Preparation
Numerous cosmetic studios offer eyelash lifting. Normally you should make an appointment by phone. It is important not to apply cosmetic products such as mascara, serums, creams and gels to the lashes before the eyelash lift. Otherwise the applied products cannot develop their full effect on the lashes. The lashes should therefore be natural and cleansed so that the effect of the lift is not impaired.
Procedure of the eyelash lift
At the beginning the cosmetician combs the lashes before they are applied to a self-adhesive, slightly curved silicone sheet. Then a lotion is applied to the lashes, which helps to break up the hair structure, so that the lashes can now be brought into the desired shape. The lotion is left for about 20 minutes to work on the lashes.
Then it is removed and a second solution is applied to the lashes. This solution has the function to fix the lashes into the desired shape. After another 20 minutes it is also wiped off the lashes and the silicone leaves are removed.
Many beauty salons tint the lashes afterwards if desired, in order to strengthen the effect of the lash lift with darker lashes. The application time is on average about 45-60 minutes and is painless. According to the cosmetic studios, this result of the lifting should last for about six to eight weeks.
