Aftercare
After a few weeks (4-6) weeks, connective tissue scar tissue forms in the area of the removed joint, so that the wire can be removed and the toe is held in the new position by itself. Only for the time in which the position is fixed by the wire a special shoe (so-called forefoot relief shoe) must be worn, after which normal footwear can be used again. Sport should only be resumed after a period of three weeks after the operation.
