Lamb with artichokes
Artichokes are said to have a digestive and cholesterol-lowering effect. But that is not the only reason why you should include artichokes in your diet from time to time. In combination with lamb meat a healthy recipe with a high protein content results, which has a good effect on muscle building.
The preparation time for this dish is medium and the caloric value for two portions is 675 kcal. Besides 29 grams of fat and 47 grams of protein, this recipe contains 41 grams of carbohydrates. You need 4 small artichokes, 1 clove of garlic, 1 tablespoon of oil 150 ml white wine, 3 shallots, 500 grams of small new potatoes, 50 grams of black olives, 4 lamb medallions about 1.5 cm thick, pepper and salt.
First the artichokes are destalked and quartered. Then the garlic is chopped and fried in oil with the artichoke pieces. Then the whole thing is deglazed with wine and seasoned with salt and pepper.
Now put a lid on and let everything stew for about 30 minutes. The shallots are cut into slices, the potatoes are cleaned and quartered and then both are added to the artichokes and cooked for 15 minutes. The olives are heated for the last 5 minutes. Now the meat is fried in a coated pan for about 2 minutes on each side, seasoned and finally served with the vegetables.
Curry bread with mango strips
A vegetarian variation, which can be served as a snack but also as an evening meal or for breakfast, is the curry bread with mango strips. For two portions the caloric value is 225 kcal with 8 grams of fat, 8 grams of protein and 30 grams of carbohydrates. The ingredients consist of 3 tablespoons cream cheese, 1 tablespoon curry, 1 teaspoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon apple juice, 50 grams mango, 2 slices wholemeal bread, 2 teaspoons cashmere mango chutney, 1 tablespoon fresh cress and black pepper.
First mix the cream cheese with the curry powder, soy sauce and apple juice. Peel the mango and remove the flesh from the stone. The 50 grams are then cut into slices.
The breads are now spread with the curry cream, on which the mango chutney is spread and then the mango slices are arranged on top. Finally, the whole thing is sprinkled with the fresh cress and seasoned with pepper.
