Aconitum

In migraine and headaches as a result of fear, anxiety or anger, aconitum (translated: aconite) is often used as a therapeutic agent. The symptoms begin violently and suddenly; the patients suffer from unbearable, pulsating pain, with the forehead, temples and face being particularly affected on the left side. The patient feels extremely thirsty and reports pain and irritation of the facial nerves by cold wind; the symptoms are accompanied by anxiety and severe restlessness.

The symptoms are intensified by movement, talking and loud noises. Improvement occurs by resting in a darkened room, isolation from sounds and fresh, cool air. Belladonna

Belladonna is effective for migraine as a result of fear, fright and anger. The headache comes very quickly, lasts for a while and then disappears quickly. Patients are conspicuous by their red, hot face, their gaze is fixed and their pupils dilate.

The pain manifests itself on the right side above the eyes on the forehead. It is perceived as pressing, pulsating or knocking outwards.In addition, there is back pain, a sore neck, cold feet, nausea, vomiting and dizziness, as well as swallowing difficulties and a feeling of pressure on the chest. Paralyzing tiredness in arms and legs is described.

During the seizure, patients describe nebulous vision to the point of feeling that they cannot see anything; a dazed state similar to intoxication occurs. The symptoms improve with firm counterpressure, by stretching the head backwards and moderately cooling applications. On the contrary, they worsen with movement, vibration, bright light and especially when bending down; as soon as the head hangs down, the pain is felt as unbearable.
