Duration
Usually a boil after a shave or intimate shave is only of short duration. If the affected skin is washed regularly and otherwise left alone, the boil usually heals within a few days. However, if you press or scratch the inflamed area or shave it again before the skin has completely healed, the inflammation can last for several weeks. Especially if there is a weakness in the immune system due to an illness or in overweight people, it can take longer for a boil to heal after shaving.
