- X-rays of the paranasal sinuses, temporomandibular joint – in the case of chronic sinusitis (sinusitis) or tumor.
- X-ray examination of the face (occipitodental image to show the maxillary sinus/maxillary sinus and sphenoidal sinus/sphenoidal sinus, as well as the temporomandibular joints and zygomatic bones).
- Sialography (X-ray contrast imaging of the salivary glands) – if tumor/stone is suspected.
- Computed tomography/magnetic resonance imaging of the skull (cranial CT or.cCT/cranial MRI or cMRI).
