Granulomatous skin diseases

The term granuloma comes from the Latin and means “nodule”. It describes an inflammatory reaction. They can occur in different parts of the body.

The causes are very diverse. Possible causes can be tuberculosis, sarcoidosis or Crohn’s disease. The symptomatology is very individual and depends on the location of the granulomas.

There is no uniform therapy for granulomas. Drug and surgical measures are important basic principles.
