How do I prevent an ISG blockade?
The prevention of an ISG blockade should consist of three important points. First of all, sufficient musculature of the back and pelvis must be available. Strong muscles can prevent or compensate for connective tissue problems and bony strains in many parts of the body.
A strong musculature is easy on ligaments and joints, especially in the pelvis, which is subject to heavy strain. Likewise, sufficient exercise with a healthy posture should be done regularly. Long periods of sitting, standing or lying down in everyday life will damage many areas of the spine in the long run. If there are problems with the spine, additional relaxing exercises can be performed. To counteract an acute ISG blockage, the joint structures can be relieved and loosened by certain positions and movements.
