How do I use Betaisodona® ointment correctly?

Betaisodona® ointment is applied correctly by applying it thinly to the affected skin area. It may be advisable to wear gloves to avoid discolouring the fingers. When applying it, care should be taken to cover the wound or inflamed skin completely and not to leave any areas out.

Depending on the location and size of the wound, it may be advisable to apply a dressing after applying Betaisodona® Ointment. The ointment should be applied regularly. As soon as the brown colour of the skin starts to fade, the effect is no longer sufficient and Betaisodona® Ointment should be applied again.

However, if there is no improvement after two to five days or if symptoms or the size of the wound even increases, a doctor should be consulted. The dosage of Betaisodona® Ointment is based on regular use of the product. Unless otherwise prescribed by a physician, Betaisodona® Ointment should be applied to the wound or damaged skin once or twice a day.

If necessary, a bandage is applied afterwards. A sufficient dosage is indicated by an even brown colouring of the skin. If an area is not coloured or only slightly coloured, the selected dosage was too low and some Betaisodona® Ointment should be applied.

A decolouration of the skin also indicates a decreasing effect of the ointment. If this happens, Betaisodona® Ointment should be applied again. Betaisodona® Ointment can be stored for up to three years after the tube is opened.

It is therefore advisable to mark the day of opening on the tube, especially if the package is large and only used occasionally. – In addition, the manufacturer always gives a date until when the product may be used. If this date is exceeded, the effect is no longer guaranteed and Betaisodona® Ointment should no longer be used. – The same applies if the tube has been exposed to temperatures above 25 degrees Celsius. – The ointment should also no longer be used if discolouration is observed, as here too the effect is no longer sufficient.

Is Betaisodona® ointment only available on prescription?

Betaisodona® Ointment is not subject to prescription, but only available in pharmacies. This means that although it can only be purchased in a pharmacy, you do not need a prescription from a doctor. You can also buy Betaisodona® Ointment in an online pharmacy on the Internet.

So even if you do not need a doctor to treat a wound with Betaisodona® Ointment, you should consult a doctor if your wound is very large, deep or has a poor healing process. The same applies to larger burns. Betaisodona® Ointment is available in various pack sizes, so there is a wide range of prices.

The smallest tube you can buy contains 30 grams of the ointment and costs about five euros. The most commonly offered package size contains 100 grams of Betaisodona® Ointment. The price is about ten euros.

In proportion, large tubes are the cheapest. 250 grams cost about 18 euros and 300 grams are available for just under 20 euros. Anyone who uses Betaisodona® Ointment frequently should therefore reach for a large tube immediately. For occasional use, 100 grams are usually sufficient. In addition, it is useful to compare prices and look for special offers, as Betaisodona® Ointment is sometimes offered in significantly reduced quantities.
