How it is treated
Diarrhea, which occurs at the same time as vitamin B12 intake, probably has nothing to do with taking the medication. If the diarrhoea persists for a longer period of time, diagnostic measures should therefore be taken to find the cause of the diarrhoea. If the suspicion remains that the vitamin B12 intake is the cause, a change of the preparation can be a sensible therapy option as there may be an intolerance to other ingredients of the preparation.
Duration vs. prognosis
How long the diarrhea lasts and what the prognosis is cannot be explained here, since diarrhea is not a typical symptom of vitamin B12 intake. Therefore other causes are probably to be considered as diarrhoea triggers.
