Mascara or mascara – the name does not matter, but the correct application is crucial for the perfect eye look. What to do if mascara crumbles or smells unpleasant? Which type of brush do you need for which lashes? In our mascara DOs and mascara DONTs, we answer these and other questions and tell you what you should definitely pay attention to or better avoid.
Mascara DOs:
- Rotate the brush before applying in the bottle. Thus, the mascara spreads evenly on the brush – the prerequisite for an optimal result.
- Mascara is always applied away from the eye to the end of the lashes. First above, then below – this ensures the perfect swing at first sight.
- Currently on trend are strongly mascaraed, endlessly long eyelashes. This makes the eye look more open and is better perceived.
- The strong inking of the lower lashes makes the eyes appear even larger.
- For the extra super volume, there are several options. The best is the so-called base, which you apply under the mascara. The mostly white substance coats each individual lash and gives them significantly more length and volume even before applying the actual mascara.
- Completely black mascaraed eyelashes was yesterday. The trendy highlight are colored accents. The tips of the black mascaraed eyelashes are spiced up with a strong color mascara.
- It’s easy for something to go wrong. Always have cotton swabs ready to touch up small corrections directly. The faster the better.
- Brush is not equal to brush. The choice is great, but is the strong, the short or yet the round brush optimal for my eyelashes? The perfect solution can only be found by trial and error. But as a benchmark applies: short eyelashes – short bristles, normal eyelashes – strong brush.
- Look beautiful during the day, remove makeup for the night. Requirement. Remove mascara in the evening with makeup products for the eyes. These are gentle on the delicate tissue of the eyes, especially with waterproof mascara. In an emergency, a rich face cream can also help. The main thing is that the mascara is completely removed.
