Pulling in the chest and abdomen
There can be a variety of causes for the occurrence of a strong pulling in the chest and abdomen. Many women who are trying to get pregnant assume that pulling in the breast and abdomen are classic early signs of pregnancy. In fact, in some expectant mothers, the rapid increase in hormone levels in the first trimester of pregnancy can be observed to cause breast and abdominal traction.
This constellation of symptoms occurs in many women days before the menstruation stops and can therefore be an early indication of a pregnancy. The pulling in the breast is mainly caused by the increase in the hormone progesterone. Already within the first weeks of pregnancy the breasts begin to form new glandular cells.
For this reason, in most women a pronounced growth of the breasts starts already a few weeks after conception. Since the uterus also has to adapt to the needs of the unborn child at an early stage, the body induces the loosening of the so-called “mother’s ligaments” just a few days after conception. These hormone-induced changes can lead to pronounced pulling in the breast and abdomen.
