Pus pimples on the décolleté

Pimples on the décolleté are often favored by psychological stress. On the other hand, women with hormonal changes, such as those that occur during puberty, pregnancy or menopause, are often affected by pimples on the décolleté and also on other areas, such as the shoulders. Pimples on the décolleté are also affected by increased sebum production and clogging of the pores. The décolleté is also a typical site for pimples as part of acne vulgaris. The suspicion should be clarified in case of many pimples.

Pimples on the shoulders during pregnancy

Pimples during pregnancy also have to do with the change in hormone balance. An increased hormone production of so-called androgens during pregnancy leads to an overproduction of fat in the sebaceous glands. Although the sebum is actually there to keep the skin soft and supple, the overproduction can clog the glandular ducts. The clogged sebaceous glands thus provide a suitable breeding ground for bacteria to multiply and pus pimples develop.
