The treatment of falling eyelashes
The treatment of an eyelash loss must always be based on the cause. If a vitamin deficiency is the cause of hair loss, a change in diet and monitoring of blood values may help. If this does not help, vitamin preparations can, in consultation with the doctor, remedy the nutrient deficiency.
Some natural substances are also suitable for external use. Castor oil, for example, is rich in vitamin E and saturated fatty acids, which should strengthen and invigorate the hair. Applied directly to the eyelashes concerned, it can prevent eyelash loss and additionally increase the natural growth of the eyelashes.
Almond oil, on the other hand, is very well suited as a natural substitute for the sometimes aggressive make-up removers. Almond oil also contains valuable nutrients, minerals and antioxidants that nourish the skin. Alternatively, olive oil, vaseline or green tea can be used, which can have a restorative effect on the lashes.
Make-up can damage the eyelashes due to aggressive ingredients and thus promote hair loss. Therefore you should always remove your make-up in the evening so that your lashes are not exposed to make-up for an unnecessarily long time.If nothing helps with eyelash loss, hair transplantation is the last option of treatment. It works exactly like the head hair transplantation, using the modern I-FUE procedure. This can be applied to both the upper and lower eyelid. Depending on the condition of the eyelids, between 80 and 150 eyelashes can be transplanted.
Make-up removal as prophylaxis
It is very important to remove make-up thoroughly around the eyes in the evening. Most of the cosmetic products contain aggressive chemical substances which can attack and damage the surface of the lashes overnight. Over a longer period of time this leads to thinning and finally to the complete loss of the lashes.
When removing make-up, one should be careful to proceed thoroughly and carefully, so that the lashes are not accidentally torn off by too much mechanical rubbing. It is also best not to use too strong care products for removing makeup, since these products also contain chemical substances that have an effect on skin and lashes. It is also sufficient to simply moisten the lashes with lukewarm water and let it take effect for about two minutes. Afterwards, make-up remains and mascara tints can be easily removed from the eyelashes.
