Increasing visual impairment
(ICD-10 H53.8: Other visual impairment) represents a serious impairment for those affected.
Visual impairment can be a symptom of many diseases (see under “Differential diagnoses”).
Course and prognosis: Course and prognosis depend on the cause or the disease. Any increasing visual impairment requires ophthalmologic evaluation.
