Prognosis | Dizziness and alcohol

Prognosis

Dizziness associated with alcohol consumption usually only lasts until all the alcohol has been metabolized and eliminated from the body. As a symptom of a hangover, dizziness may persist the following day, but usually disappears on its own. A well-balanced meal in the morning and a sufficient amount to drink will quickly get the circulation going again.

Prophylaxis

Dizziness is one of the typical hangover symptoms that can occur after alcohol consumption. The best prophylaxis is to create a good foundation in the form of a carbohydrate- and fat-rich meal, such as pizza, before drinking alcohol. Due to the fat content of the food, alcohol is released into the blood more slowly and dizziness occurs much less frequently.

A healthier alternative is for example oily pickled fish such as sardines. In addition, you should not consume too much alcohol at once and drink a glass of water every now and then. This prevents a loss of fluid.
