Claw toeHammer toe

In hammer toe malpositioning, there is a fixed maximum flexion in the final limb. Claw toe malalignment results in maximum flexion in the middle toe joint and hyperextension in the metatarsophalangeal joint.

Splayfeet

The splayfoot is the most common acquired foot deformity. It is almost always caused by the patient’s condition. In the course of the disease, lowering of the transverse arch of the foot causes foot complaints with widening of the forefoot.

Tape elongation

Injuries to the upper ankle joint (OSG) often occur during sports activities, but also in everyday life. Most events do not lead to serious structural damage, i.e. an injury with foot pain and permanent consequences. Nevertheless, a torn ligament can occur, especially in the area of the outer ankle. When the ankle joint is examined by the doctor, it is hardly possible to distinguish them from ligament stretching or partial or complete torn ligaments. The transition is fluid.

Torn ligament

Torn ligament at the ankle is a partial or complete rupture of one or more ligament structures. The affected joint shows a swelling with pain and bruising. Torn ligaments are usually treated by immobilization for usually 2-6 weeks or surgically by suturing the ligament or fixing torn pieces of bone.

Torn Achilles tendon

The Achilles tendon (= tendo calcaneus (Achilles)) is the supposedly strongest tendon in the human body. It is located at the calcaneus tuber (= heel bone) and unites the end tendons of the three calf muscles as the end tendon of the Musculus triceps surae (calf muscle). In the case of an Achilles tendon rupture, which is caused by degenerative damage, it is a complete severance of the tendon, usually as a result of direct or indirect violence and foot pain.

Haglundexostosis

It is a form variant of the heel bone body, which is prominently formed in its lateral and back part and can therefore lead to pressure pain in the shoe (foot pain). The term haglundexostosis is often used as a synonym.
