Advanced training
In order to be allowed to exercise as therapist the medical training therapy with patients, a special further training is needed. Prerequisite for the advanced training is a basic training or qualification in the corresponding field. This applies for example to physicians, Physiotherapeuten, diploma sport scientists with the emphasis rehabilitation and prevention, gymnastic teachers, masseurs or medical bath attendants.
The advanced training can be completed at different providers and is also possible while working. The costs for a qualification for medical training therapies vary with the different providers, but are usually between 800-1200€. Contents of the advanced training are theoretical and practical basics to independently create a patient-specific, indication-related training plan.
The focus is on muscle physiology, connective tissue, wound healing and training theory. In summary, further training in this area is useful in order to expand the range of therapies and to help patients in the best possible way with the newly acquired knowledge. All in all, medical training therapy thus offers a useful supplement to rehabilitation programs or independently, in order to make patients mobile again as quickly as possible and to facilitate a life free of complaints.
