All over the body/rest
Muscle twitches often occur in individual parts of the body. Typical places are: Occasionally, however, muscle twitches can occur throughout the body. These are particularly noticeable at rest and without movement, as the muscles are not strained.
The reasons for the muscle twitches can be different. If there is no other known pre-existing condition, it can often be a reaction of the body to excessive stress or excessive training. Normally, the twitching disappears after a short time on its own.
For those affected, this condition can sometimes seem very threatening, as they have the feeling of losing control over their own body. If the muscle twitches are so strong that they represent a risk of injury or no longer disappear, you should consult a doctor to clarify the cause.

Leg
Muscle twitching in the leg is harmless in most cases and is rather an expression of stress and other psychological strain. It can only be a barely perceptible twitch or in the worst case it can lead to uncontrolled movements of the leg, which increases the risk of injury. As a rule, the twitching subsides as soon as the triggering factors cease to exist.
A mineral deficiency can also be a cause of the twitching. Restless Legs Syndrome can also be a cause, especially when the legs are twitching. If the twitching does not disappear on its own within a few days, a doctor should clarify the cause.
Upper arm
Muscle twitches can also occur in the upper arm due to involuntary irritation of the nerves. The cause can also be trapped nerves, deficiency symptoms or other diseases. As a rule, the twitches are harmless here as well. The muscle twitches in the upper arm can only be visible on the skin through slight movements or can influence the movement of the arm so that its function is disturbed. Again, if the muscle twitches do not go away on their own or occur in connection with other symptoms, a doctor should be consulted to rule out serious diseases. The article “Physiotherapy in case of pinched nerves” might be of interest to you in this respect.
