Can you lose weight and build muscles?
Yes! losing weight does not only mean that the weight on the scale decreases, but also that the belly becomes flatter and the arms tighter. Muscles are heavier than fat.
But is it a success to lose all muscle mass in order to see a lower figure on the scale? From looking at the body, it is certainly a greater success to achieve a flat and taut stomach. Muscles also burn fat.
For a short time you may want to lose weight quickly by eating less, but then the well-known yoyo effect, eating attacks and everything starts all over again. In the long term, you can actually lose weight through balanced nutrition, sport and muscle building – even if the numbers on the scales do not fall as quickly. From a certain body fat content, however, it is no longer possible to lose fat and at the same time gain larger muscles as the bodybuilder has. In these cases you have to reach out of your bag of tricks.
Low Carb Diet
As mentioned above, the low-carb concept, often referred to as diet, is a way of eating in which simple carbohydrates are reduced as much as possible. Instead, protein and vitamin-rich food is eaten. Proteins keep you full for a long time and the body still gets everything it needs!
You just have to be careful not to eat too many animal fats. By leaving out sugar and flour, meals often last a long time. Especially in sports this way of eating is suitable to lose weight, but still build up muscle mass due to the high protein content. And all this without any supplements.
