Dosage forms

The use of Multilind® in the form of the healing ointment is probably the most popular and most frequent. When buying it, a distinction must be made between the Multilind® healing ointment with the active ingredients nystatin and zinc oxide and the lotion which contains microsilver as an ingredient. The forms of application and indications of the ointment and lotion differ, which is why attention should be paid to what the product is to be used for.

Basically, the use of Multilind® Healing Ointment is recommended in cases of red and sore skin, or very dry, itchy or irritated skin. Sensitive skin particularly benefits from the use of Multilind® Healing Ointment. The absence of fragrances, colorants and preservatives reduces the risk of an allergic reaction.

This is particularly relevant for people with skin diseases as well as for babies and children. Sore spots due to abrasive clothing or sweat in skin folds can be treated very well with the help of the ointments. The use of the healing ointment is especially recommended for infections with yeast fungi.

The ingredients of the ointment can improve the condition of the skin and minimize mechanical irritation. The use of Multilind® Ointment is therefore one of the main indications for diaper dermatitis. The active ingredients contained can prevent the yeast fungus from spreading on the skin, which can lead to red spots and dandruff on the skin.

After just a few days of regular use of the healing ointment, the skin areas gradually improve and the skin begins to recover. The ointment can be applied to the skin once or several times a day. However, excessive oiliness of the affected skin areas should be consciously avoided.

It is sufficient to spread the ointment thinly on the affected skin areas and then allow it to be absorbed. In addition to other possible application methods, Multilind® can also be purchased in the form of a spray. In contrast to Multilind® Healing Ointment, Nystatin is not a component of the spray.

It should therefore not be used if the treatment of a yeast infection is the main focus of the therapy. The main indication for the use of Multilind® Spray is its application in baby skin care. The diaper and the associated contact with urine and stool can cause skin irritation.

The zinc oxide contained in the spray helps to keep the skin dry and prevent inflammation. Especially when used regularly, the use of the spray can gently care for the sensitive baby skin and prevent the development of diaper dermatitis. A regular change of diaper can of course not be replaced by the use of Multilind® Spray. As no colorants, fragrances or preservatives are used, the spray is well suited for sensitive baby skin. Nevertheless, we recommend that you first apply it sparingly and locally to assess an individual skin reaction.
