The duration of the pain over the eye depends on the cause. Pain due to stress, in the form of tension headache, decreases when the circumstances change. Pain over the eye due to infections is decreasing in the healing process parallel to the other complaints. Rarer, but more serious eye and head diseases are more protracted.
