Exercises with a tennis ball

A tennis ball can be used for stretching exercises to enhance the effect. Because the piriformis muscle is located deep in the pelvis, it is difficult to reach it directly. However, stretching exercises in which the bent thigh is rotated inwards puts the muscle in a favourable position.

In order to work the muscle, you sit on the tennis ball while stretching. The ball should come to rest immediately under the painful pressure point of the piriformis muscle.
