How often and for how long should I take homeopathic medication?

The length and frequency of taking homeopathic remedies should be adapted to the severity of the symptoms of cystitis. A bladder infection is often accompanied by initially acute symptoms that diminish over time.Accordingly, the frequency and amount of globules taken can be reduced. In most cases, the homeopathic remedies can be taken for several days without hesitation. If there are any uncertainties, a homeopathic doctor should be consulted.

Treatment of the disease only with homeopathy or only as supportive therapy?

A bladder infection can take two different courses: uncomplicated and complicated. A first-time or only occasionally occurring inflammation is usually an uncomplicated course. This form can usually only be treated with homeopathy and a sufficient supply of fluid and heat. As a supporting therapy, however, homeopathic remedies should be used for a complicated form. Here, treatment with antibiotics must be carried out by a physician, otherwise serious kidney diseases can occur.

When do I have to go to the doctor?

A doctor does not have to be consulted for every cystitis. Often the cystitis is harmless and uncomplicated. It then heals on its own after a few days and the symptoms can be effectively relieved by homeopathic remedies.

However, if the symptoms still persist or even increase after a few days, a visit to a doctor is recommended. The occurrence of pain in the area of the flanks, i.e. in the kidney area, and fever are also warning signals that need to be clarified by a doctor. It is also advisable to consult a doctor in the case of recurring cystitis and certain risk factors, such as pregnancy.
