Pain in the middle and outer ball of the foot
Pain that occurs on the outside and in the middle of the soccer can generally occur differently. The main cause of pain in soccer, regardless of its exact location, is overloading of the affected area. Especially if the pain occurs only in certain areas of the soccer and possibly even on both feet, this indicates a conspicuous rolling behaviour when walking and running, which can be made responsible for the pain.
Such a rolling behavior can be diagnosed exactly with a running analysis and treated with insoles. Other causes which cause pain only on the outside and in the middle of the soccer are the wearing of unsuitable shoes or the performance of special activities which place a particular strain on these areas. Also a malposition of the hip can cause a wrong load on the soccer and thus cause pain of this kind. Especially if the pain does not disappear even after a longer period of time and no obvious cause for the pain can be found, a visit to a doctor is recommended.
Pain in the ball of foot and big toe
If the big toe causes pain, this can have different causes depending on the symptoms. A common cause of a sore big toe is an acute attack of gout, which causes severe pain due to a deposit of uric acid crystals in the joint. In addition to the pain, an acute attack of gout also causes other symptoms such as swelling of the toe and redness in the area.
Other causes that can lead to pain in the area of the big toe are warts and skin changes commonly known as corns. In addition, pain can also occur if the foot area around the big toe rolls off in an unfavorable way and the foot area is overstressed. When changing shoes and the activity or sport practiced, it should be critically examined whether the technique is being performed correctly and whether the footwear fits the respective foot. In addition to the correct size of shoes, attention should also be paid to special features such as special shoes for flat or splay feet. In the case of chrome pain in the ball of the foot and the big toe, one must also consider arthrosis, which is known as hallux rigidus.
