Prognosis | Breast growth during pregnancy

Prognosis

Breast growth during pregnancy is very different for each patient individually and therefore it is difficult to predict how much a patient’s breasts will grow or whether they will grow strongly at all. It is also very difficult to predict whether the patient’s breasts will regain the same size after pregnancy or whether they will become smaller or larger. This also depends on various other factors, such as whether the patient has breastfed her baby or whether she has gained or lost a lot of weight due to the pregnancy. In general, however, most women experience a reversal in breast growth after breastfeeding and patients regain approximately their old cup shape.
