Therapy – What helps?

The therapy of stomach cramps depends largely on the underlying cause. In addition to conventional medical therapy, various home remedies or homeopathic substances can be used. Herbal medicines available include Iberogast® and preparations containing chamomile and fennel. Depending on the cause, specific drugs are then used to treat stomach cramps. For example, Pantoprazole inhibits acid formation and antibiotics are given in the case of bacteria-induced inflammation.
