Prognosis
Having cold hands now and then is usually harmless. Otherwise, a prognosis depends strongly on the type of disease and its severity. If it is a circulatory disorder, one must bear in mind that every tissue in the body must be supplied with oxygen and many other nutrients.
If this supply is completely cut off and lasts too long, tissue dies. Even a reduced supply that lasts too long can cause consequential damage. This can lead to nerve damage, which can then be accompanied by sensitivity disorders or damage to muscles.
Hormonally induced cooling, such as in the case of hypothyroidism, can usually be easily controlled by the administration of replacement hormones in tablet form and thus pose no risk of permanent damage. However, it must be said here that the thyroid gland controls a large number of processes in the body and it is therefore necessary to treat hypothyroidism.
