Duration | Bad breath in toddlers

Duration

The duration of bad breath in children cannot be given generally. It depends on the causative disease. In the case of inflammation or infection, the bad breath subsides almost simultaneously with the infection and usually lasts no longer than a few days.

In case of bad breath due to a lack of dental hygiene or a pronounced dry mouth, the bad breath remains until the cause has been eliminated. The same applies to halitosis due to an organic problem. In this case, it even becomes more present with increasing severity of the disease.
