Duration

As with most cosmetic treatments, the duration of depilation naturally depends on many different factors. Of course, the size of the area to be depilated has an influence. For example, depilation of the legs is usually longer than depilation of the bikini area.

The time required also depends on the individual pain perception of each person; those who feel very strong pain may need a short recovery break more often and interrupt the epilation more often. It is also important to consider the different sensitivities of the different parts of the body: While the legs are likely to be depilated in one go, the bikini line, like other sensitive areas, tends to take a little more time. The total time required therefore depends not least on the working speed.

This is of course also a question of routine: all in all, frequency is also an important factor. As explained above, after each epilation session, fewer and fewer hairs grow back, including finer ones. Consequently, the first depilation with many, relatively thick hairs requires a longer period of time than at a later time, when only a few remaining hairs have to be removed. In general, one can assume that as a beginner you need about 30 minutes for the depilation of both legs up to about knee height.

In case of any preparation (taking a bath or similar, see above) you should plan accordingly more time. The result of the depilation will last for a few weeks afterwards: As a rule, about four to six weeks will pass before the first hairs grow back again. Nevertheless, from this moment on, a little patience is required. Since the optimal length of the hairs for epilation is about 3-5mm (shorter hairs cannot be safely gripped either by a single pair of tweezers or by the device), the waiting time until the next epilation is delayed by a few more days.
