Duration
Fortunately, the duration of symptoms of larval bites is limited to about 10 to 14 days. In the first three days the complaints are most severe. Since the larvae fall off the skin after feeding, renewed bites are also unlikely.
In rare cases, however, it is possible that the larvae bite again after a few weeks or days, causing symptoms. This is the case if worn clothing has not been washed properly and there are still larvae on it.
