During pregnancy, one should always consult a doctor if bartholinites are suspected. In most cases, direct antibiotic treatment is then administered. An abscess must also be cleaved during pregnancy and above all to prevent pregnancy complications. Effects on the child are sometimes rather unlikely and are rarely or never observed.
