Fascia therapy | Dizziness due to tensions

Fascia therapy

Each muscle is surrounded by an envelope of connective tissue, the so-called muscle fascia. In many cases, severe tension in the neck area affects not only the muscles but also the fascia (“glued fascia”). A targeted fascial therapy can help to relieve the tension and thus improve the dizziness.During the treatment, the fasciae are treated in a special way so that they begin to realign themselves and become more supple again. Fascial therapies are offered by physiotherapists and osteopaths.

Kinesiotapes

Kinesotapes are a simple yet effective method to release neck tension and thus relieve dizziness. They are stretchy adhesive tapes made of cotton, which are stuck in a special way along the course of the muscles in the neck. This tenses the skin and relieves the muscle.

As a result, the tension is released and the pain is relieved. The tapes remain on the skin for several days after being stuck on, until they come off and have to be re-glued. The treatment takes five to six weeks in total.

Prognosis

The prognosis of dizziness caused by tension is generally good if the person affected invests time in the future to prevent new tensions. Through regular physiotherapeutic treatments, massages and targeted muscle strengthening, the tension can be easily released and avoided in the future. However, if the lack of exercise persists and the correction of body posture fails to materialize, new tensions will arise again after therapy of the current tensions. It is therefore extremely important to break the vicious circle in order to achieve good results in the long term.

The duration of vertigo caused by tension

Dizziness caused by tension is in most cases a swindling vertigo. This form of vertigo usually occurs in attacks and does not last long. Usually the symptoms disappear after a few minutes. Vertigo caused by tension can sometimes last for several hours. If the tensions are treated, the symptoms of dizziness disappear completely within a few weeks.
