Homeopathy during pregnancy

During pregnancy, homeopathic therapy of the fungal infection should not be the primary treatment. A successful therapy is essential to prevent transmission to the newborn whose immune system is not yet fully developed. If good experiences with homeopathy have been made, it may be a supplement.

Primarily, however, a local fungal therapy with established drugs should be used. For women who suffer from recurring chronic fungal infections, even independently of pregnancy, homeopathy may be of interest if other therapy attempts have not been successful. Within the framework of a homeopathic therapy, a very detailed anamnesis, i.e. the medical history, is often taken.

This can help to find possible triggers for recurring infections. Based on the medical history, the so-called globules, i.e. small beads, are then selected. There are many opponents who deny the effect of these globules, because they do not contain any classical active ingredient.

However, some people have already been helped by homeopathy reports. Whether the form of therapy is individually applicable, everyone must find out for himself. However, it should not be experimented with during pregnancy.

How dangerous can a vaginal mycosis become for my baby?

A vaginal mycosis during pregnancy is harmless and can be treated well. It only becomes dangerous if the damaged skin is additionally infected with bacteria. These bacterial infections can ascend and possibly also cause premature contractions and thus a premature birth.

But this is very rare. The vaginal fungus itself only harms the baby if it is transmitted from the mother’s skin to the baby during the birth process. The baby’s immune system is not yet fully developed and so within the first 4 weeks it can develop the so-called oral thrush, a whitish fungal infection of the mouth and napkin dermatitis, an irritation of the skin. Both diseases are not particularly threatening for the newborn, but they cause pain and stress for the newborn and can be easily prevented by prior treatment of the mother.
