The dosage for the Pinimenthol® cold bath
For the Pinimenthol® Cold Bath, the dosage can be individually determined and adapted to the desired strength of the odor. We recommend a dosage of 30ml of Pinimenthol® Cold Bath in a bathtub filled with water. This usually comprises a volume of 100 liters of water. However, the dose of Pinimenthol® Cold Bath should not be increased too much, as a higher dosage causes more irritation of the throat and can lead to coughing.
How expensive is the Pinimenthol® cold bath?
The Pinimenthol cold bath can be ordered on the Internet or bought in the pharmacy. The price depends on the dealer and the size of the bottle. A 30 millilitre bottle which is approximately enough for a bath is available starting from a value of two euro, possibly plus forwarding expenses.
The larger the bottle becomes the further the price per 100 milliliters sinks. Thus a 190 Milliliter large bottle costs approx. eight euro, whereby a one liter large bottle costs only 26 euro.
Is this possible during pregnancy?
During pregnancy, caution should be exercised when taking a Pinimenthol® cold bath. The ingredient camphor is described as stimulating contractions when used internally. There are no confirmed test results for external use, but since the ingredients of Pinimenthol® Cold Bath are inhaled during bathing, the risk of premature induction of contractions cannot be completely excluded. For this reason, before taking a cold bath, the ingredients should always be checked and the harmlessness discussed with the gynecologist.
Is it possible to inhale with a Pinimenthol® cold bath?
When bathing in the Pinimenthol® cold bath, the ingredients are dissolved in the bath water and evaporate. By inhaling the vapor, you inhale the Pinimenthol® Cold Bath. However, since the concentrations in the bottle are intended for a large bathtub, and since the ambient air mixes with the steam during bathing, the Pinimenthol cold bath should not be used for inhalation.
The Pinimenthol® Cold Bath is more suitable for inhalation. Alternatively, inhalation with salt water or chamomile tea is also possible. You can find more information on this topic here: Inhalation for a cold.
