Symptoms

The best known symptom of a slipped disc during pregnancy is also the strong shooting pain in the affected area, which is also associated with movement restrictions. Depending on the location of the herniated disc (cervical, thoracic or lumbar spine), the symptoms can vary. Tingling, numbness or paralysis can also be signs of a herniated disc and can affect the function of internal organs (shortness of breath, urinary or fecal incontinence). Due to the existing pregnancy, the choice of medication is very limited, so that the pain is treated purely by conservative therapies.
