How long is crosstrainer allowed?

Endurance training is recommended during pregnancy. Training on the crosstrainer and endurance sports in general is allowed throughout pregnancy. Of course only as long as the woman feels healthy and fit.

However, the intensity and duration of the training should be somewhat reduced during pregnancy. In order to avoid overexertion, the woman should be able to talk during the training. Towards the end of the pregnancy, training on the crosstrainer is preferable to jogging outdoors. The risk of twisting and falling is lower on the crosstrainer.

How long can I jog for?

During the entire pregnancy, until shortly before birth, jogging is allowed. The duration of training and speed should be reduced during pregnancy and under no circumstances should it be increased. For women who only want to start jogging during pregnancy, it is recommended to take short breaks.

Training should only be so intensive that the woman can still talk to her training partner while running. It is important to wear suitable running shoes in order to avoid twisting and thus injuries. Jogging in uneven terrain such as forests is not recommended due to the increased risk of falling during pregnancy. Likewise, pregnant women should avoid jogging when it is too hot or cold.This could harm the unborn baby.
