Which quark should I use? | Quarkwrap

Which quark should I use?

There are no precise specifications for the choice of quark for the quark wrappers. The easiest way is to use the normal food quark from the refrigerator in the nearest supermarket. Whether the fat content plays a role in the effect of the quark wrap has not yet been investigated.

It is assumed, however, that it makes no difference. Only special ingredients in the quark should be avoided. Herb quark, for example, is generally less suitable for quark wraps than natural table quark.

How long should I leave the quark wrap on?

The main effect of curd wraps is based on their temperature difference to the skin. Therefore the application time is limited to a maximum of 20 to 30 minutes. Until then, the curd wrap is usually warmed or cooled down to room temperature or the temperature of the skin.

Warm quark compresses dry out relatively quickly and then lose some of their effect, which is why the compress should then be replaced. A trick to delay drying out is the additional use of cling film. The warm curd wrap is placed on the skin and then fixed with cling film. This prevents the quark wrap from slipping and the moisture of the quark does not penetrate the foil, which is why the quark wrap stays moist longer. Since quark wraps cannot be heated up particularly and are not cooled down to minus degrees, there is no danger to the skin or tissue from too long an application.

How long can I use the quark wrap?

Quarkwraps can be used for any length. Thus, over several weeks, curd compresses can be applied again and again to painful body parts. Since there are no side effects, the number of used quark compresses is not limited. However, one should take care to change the compresses regularly. In addition, a used quark wrap should always be washed or disposed of.

Quarkwrap in cling film

A quark wrap with cling film is made in the same way as the normal quark wrap. You take a cloth or paper towel, put Speisequark on it and put the quark wrap on the affected area. Afterwards you can wrap additional cling film around it.

This is used to hold the curd wrap better on the body, but is only suitable for slim parts of the body like arms and legs. Alternatively, a gauze bandage can be used for fixation. Another advantage of the cling film is that it also provides protection against the curd smearing onto clothing or furniture.
