Physiotherapy can help the affected person to get the muscle twitches under control. Various options can lead to success. Massages can relieve tension and provide the patient with relaxation.

Ultrasound, heat or cold therapy can also be considered under certain circumstances. A large part of the treatment time is usually taken up with exercises that are designed to strengthen the muscle affected by the twitching and help it to relax more easily. Some exemplary exercises are described below.

1) Exercise for the hands Bale the affected hand into a fist and press firmly. Hold the tension for 15 seconds. Then release the tension and stretch out your fingers slowly and in a controlled manner.

Now squeeze your eyes very tightly together, as if you wanted to bring your eyebrows closer together. Hold the tension for 15 seconds. 3 passes 3) Thigh exercise 4) Upper arm exercise Sit up straight and upright on a chair.

Lift the foot and stretch it forward. Then turn the foot slowly inwards and hold the tension for 15 seconds. 3 passes per foot.

6) Exercise for the stomach Sit on a chair. You can support yourself with your hands on a table. Now lift both legs from the floor at a 90° angle.
