The assumption that increased insulin secretion, for example by taking creatine with fruit juices, leads to an improved absorption of the creatine is now considered outdated. Nevertheless, the creatine should be taken with a large amount of liquid (preferably at least 300 ml of water). The advantage of taking it with water is also that it eliminates the need for extra calories.

On days on which training sessions are completed, it is advisable to take the creatine directly after training. In combination with protein shakes, the absorption rate can be increased even further. In summary, this means that on rest days the creatine is taken in the morning and otherwise the intake time directly after training is preferable in order to achieve an optimal effect.
