Can the skin scales of fish be permanently removed?
The therapy with fish against cornea and dandruff is becoming more and more a trend. These are fish in a water tank that nibble off calluses and scales from the feet or hands. They feed on skin scales.
The fish are also effective in the treatment of psoriasis to temporarily relieve the symptoms of scaly skin. However, due to new formation of the skin, skin scales return again and again without treating the cause. The fish are therefore only used to remove the scales for a short time until they are replicated again.
The same applies to the callus. The therapy with fish is very expensive.
