Drug tests | Methylphenidate

Drug tests

Methylphenidate can be detected in urine by a drug test. However, a special test strip that reacts to this substance must also be used for this. Although methylphenidate is a derivative (derivative) of amphetamines, the drug test for amphetamines is negative in people who take only methylphenidate. Drug tests can therefore differentiate exactly which substances the person has taken. However, it always depends on the substances for which the urine is tested, as not all available test strips are used for every drug test. A drug test via the blood can also clearly show whether the person has taken methylphenidate or whether it is still in the body.

Further ADSADHS – therapies

As already mentioned, a therapy should always be based on several factors simultaneously. For example, a therapy based solely on medication may be effective, but it does not necessarily have an effect on all areas. Many package inserts of the above mentioned drugs therefore also refer to an overall therapeutic strategy, which should take place in addition to the drug therapy.
